A Lesson in Humility

If you'd read the post below, you probably would've expected us to romp home by 50 points. But in the end, the 1st XV battled out a 12-12 draw with Manurewa and only go through as the Counties-Manukau rep on account of scoring the match's only try. So we were very lucky. Next, Wesley play the other representatives from the Chiefs' franchise, most likely Hamilton Boys and Rotorua Boys, to see who goes through to the Top Four. Time to amp it up boys!

Anonymous. It may well have been two tries apiece - I wasn't at the game and only had texts to go by. If both teams did score two tries and Wesley still went through, then it would be by the skinniest of margins - by dint of scoring the FIRST try.

Damned lucky whatever happened.

NO EXCUSES!!!!!

Stop bloody complaining, talking about which players are not there and so on. For the remaining squad and especially those who will be the starting XV for the next game. Step Up and rise to the occasion! Put your mind in a zone where you are performing above your game and do it. We all Weslyans and there is no reason why you cannot do what others have done before you. TOO BLACK, TOO STRONG

Unfortunately Wesley lost to Hamilton 13-5. Now Wesley plays Rotorua BHS, and so does Hamilton. If Hamilton beats Rotorua (Rotorua is the only side to have beaten them all season) then Hamilton goes through. If Wesley wins against Rotorua or Rotorua beats Hamilton, then its a case of getting out the rule books and calculators!
